Tikkurila Pontti Floor Lacquer 50 – 1L
Tikkurila Pontti Floor Lacquer 50 is a water-based polyurethane-acrylate lacquer designed to protect and enhance interior wooden floors. Its semi-gloss finish adds a gentle sheen to timber, bringing out the natural character of the wood while providing a durable protective layer for everyday use.
Suitable for wooden floors, stairs and thresholds, Pontti Floor Lacquer 50 helps protect against dirt and everyday impacts. Its non-yellowing formula helps maintain the appearance of the finish over time, making it a practical choice for both new flooring and the renovation of existing timber surfaces.
The lacquer is translucent and can be tinted to a wide range of colours from Tikkurila’s Timeless Translucent collection. This allows you to add subtle colour while retaining the visible grain of the wood. Quick-drying and water-thinnable, it is suitable for interior wood finishing in homes and other residential spaces.

Preparation: Ensure the wood is clean, dry and properly sanded. Remove dust and contaminants before lacquering. If applying over an existing finish or stained wood, test a small, inconspicuous area first to check suitability and the final appearance.
Application: Stir the lacquer thoroughly before use. Apply evenly with a suitable brush or roller, following the direction of the wood grain where practical. Work methodically to maintain a consistent finish and avoid excessive brushing over areas that have begun to dry.
Recoating: The surface is dust-dry in approximately 15 minutes. Apply the next coat after around 3 hours, following the manufacturer's instructions and allowing for site conditions.
