TEKNOS - TEKNOSEAL4001-00  V-Joint Sealer  310ml
 
TEKNOSEAL 4001-00, an aqueous product for the protection of V-joints and corner joints of new wood designated for exterior use such as windows and doors. An appropriate primer must be applied to new wood prior to application.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
 
Surface preparation
The wood must be free from wood dust and contamination. The moisture content of the wood should be approx. 13% and should not exceed 15%. Pretreatment is required for wood substrates not meeting Durability Class 3, EN 350:2016. Teknos has a range of preservative products meeting the requirements of EN 599-1, please contact Teknos for further guidance.
 
Application Method
Is applied by caulking gun. Smooth with a putty knife or the like. Possible surplus is removed.
 
Application conditions
Optimum temperature for products and surroundings: +18°C - +22°C. Optimum relative air humidity: Approx. 50%. Do not use at the following temperatures: below +5°C or above +40°C.
 
Drying Time
+23°C / 50% RH - 1 mm thickness: 2 hours 1.5 mm thickness: 4 hours Excessive application amounts and / or high humidity and / or low temperatures will significantly extend drying times.
 
Coating System
Primed parts must always be protected with a topcoat treatment before they are exposed to the influence of the weather.
 
Storage
Storage temperature is +5°C - +30°C. Shelf life in unopened containers: See “Best before date” on the label. Keep containers tightly closed after use.
