Product Description
A water-based, high opacity acrylic primer, Helmi Primer is ideal for priming previously painted and new timber surfaces prior to application of water-based topcoats.
Helmi Primer is an M1 category product. It meets the requirements set for the treatment of toys, so you can safely use it to prime children’s furniture and toys.
 
Top Tip
Tikkurila Helmi Primer can be tinted to the same colour as the top coat to help get a depth of colour quicker and with less top coats. Also, if any future impacts or scratches occur to the top coat the primer will still have colour, instead of being white and so reduce the appearance of potential damage.

Application
Apply by either bush, roller, HVLP or airless paint sprayer.
 
Ideally Suited To Be Used With: Helmi Primer is a solid primer suited to Tikkurila Helmi topcoats, such as Tikkurila Helmi 10 eggshell finish, Tikkurila Helmi 30 satin finish or Tikkurila Helmi 80 gloss finish.
 
Coverage: 6-8m²/Litre with one coat.
